The Delaware Art Museum is a local treasure of history and culture located along Olmstead’s Kentmere Parkway in historic Rockford Falls in Wilmington. RAS helped shape the vision for future development of the Delaware Art Museum campus during a series of planning workshops and review meetings with stakeholders. The Landscape Master Plan assesses existing conditions and recommends a new entrance as well as improvements to vehicle and visitor circulation, parking, lighting and signage. New garden spaces include an expansion of the Copeland Sculpture Garden, a children’s nature play space, and dining terrace. The masterplan calls for these new ideas and site improvements to be completed in strategic phases that align with their goals. In 2022, the new entry, planting and terrace was completed, providing a welcoming connection to the community along Kentmere Parkway.
