project description
The 15,560 square-foot conservatory at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden provides the terminal view to the main axis of the central garden. RAS collaborated with conservatory expert James Smith and local architects The Glave Firm in programming the building and preparing the plans. RAS was charged with designing the interior exhibits for each of four conservatory houses. Â Exhibits include an English Cottage Garden and a Subtropical Garden featuring planted stone walls, cascading water, pools and plantings of orchids, bromeliads, palms and other tropical exotic plants.
