project description
For over a decade, RAS has designed landscapes for new dormitory and academic buildings at the University of Delaware campus in Newark. RAS created a new landscape master plan for the latest dormitory complex that included six new residential buildings within twelve acres on the East Campus. The master plan was inspired by preserving the site’s mature specimen trees. The proposed plan reflects an Olmstead-like character of curvilinear pathways, native plantings and open spaces. The plan incorporates vital storm water management solutions such as permeable paving, bio-filtration beds, and rain gardens.
