project description
The 8,000 square-foot Conservatory complex is the anchor garden attraction at Reiman Gardens on the campus of Iowa State University. This “garden under glass” is home to changing seasonal display areas, a butterfly house, special event atrium, growing houses and café. The 2,500 square-foot butterfly house is the primary garden room featuring tropical plants, exotic butterflies, and a water feature. Robinson Anderson Summers Inc. collaborated with the Iowa firm Architects Smith Metzger on the initial design and participated in all phases of the project from schematic design through construction administration.
